Membership information
Facility & Responsibility: The Orielton Kartway facility is owned by the Southern Tasmanian Kart Club. It is situated at Finger Post Road,Orielton The club owns all buildings and improvements. Therefore as a member you have a responsibility to the club to assist in the maintenance and upkeep of the facility, and treating the facility with care and responsibly as you would your own property.

Members or private practice
A club member can practice at the track it is not required for club or community activities.

An AKA licenced member may take friends or prospective Karters to the circuit with a view to introducing them to Karting, however this does not mean usage on a repeated basis by this non-member. As a rule, non-members should use the circuit once only, under the guardianship and direction of a current AKA licenced member.
Committee Meetings:
Meetings are held every month. All members are welcome to attend meetings and
observe the functioning of the Committee; however, participating proceedings of
the meeting is by invitation only, unless previous agreements have been made
with the Secretary for matters to be held included in the agenda.
AKA licencing information
All AKA licences include a rule book.

AKA licences run for 12 months from date of issue.
All AKA licences, including renewals, can now be completed online at the official AKA website,
once arriving at the site click the 'apply for licence' button in the top right hand corner.
All applications need a passport photo Junior drivers for their first licence
need a copy of their birth certificate.
Full payment must accompany licence application and cheques or money orders must be made payable to the STKC; note we do not have credit card facilities to accept licence payments.
Junior drivers are required to satisfactorily complete four race meetings to be eligible to move from a provisional licence. Senior Drivers must satisfactorily complete three meetings and act as a flag marshall for one full meeting. The log book must be handed to the Chief Steward at drivers briefing. The upgrade procedure is in a note in the back of the log book.
The licence fees include a copy of the current AKA Karting Manual.
Before your first race you must have completed an Observed Licence Test (OLT).
